Are You Ready For An Affordable Care Act Employer Exchange Notice?
Breaking Events:
- Covered CA has just begun releasing an (estimated) 4 to 5 million Employer Exchange Notices to California Employers.
- This is an employer's first official notice that they might be targeted by the IRS for an Obamacare Penalty
- These notices start a 90 day period in which the employer has the right to appeal the Exchange's determination of an employee's eligibility for a subsidy (which, if not successfully appealed, becomes the trigger event to activate IRS activity related to the employer's ACA non-compliance).
